Tonality definitely matters. I’ve especially found this when trying to sound genuine. Fake people sound overly enthusiastic and you know they’re only interested in their sales numbers and not you. You also don’t want to sound too cold and machine-like. Just don’t force a tone at all. Sound like yourself, be human.
