I’d like to share my story for anyone looking for or in need of motivation.
5 years ago I was working as a manager in a small smoke mart, unappreciated by managers, or by customers, no matter how hard I tried. I was miserable.
I had already seen a lot about making money online and thought it could be my way out.
Firstly, let me say, I tried a lot of things over many years before I had success.
Though some people do find success overnight or on their first try, I don’t recommend going into this expecting it, or you may end up quitting, where you would have eventually found success if you kept at it.
I started out trying to be a blogger and developed a nice following on a pet blog, but the growth was too slow and it was hard to monetize. You may think it’s as easy as signing up for AdSense, but the traffic required to make it work takes a long time to achieve, so you want to be making your own products. I could have kept it going and been successful by now, but I think you need to have some passion in your work, and making new blog posts felt more like a chore than information I had on my mind and wanted to share with the world.
I did taste a glimpse of success though. Try not to look at things as failures. I had seen that success online was possible, and just re-pivoted.
Freelancing looked to me and definitely was a faster way to start earning money, and now I work as a freelance marketer.
I specialise in paid search. The money is great, and unlike SEO that takes a lot of time to show your clients success, there are things you can do like re-targeting to get your clients instant success and build the relationship from there.
I like science and paid search and the analytics are like a science to me. I’m very happy now and get to work and travel freely.
And I want you all to know that this dream is possible.

Not many people have the motivation to change their situation they’re in, and instead cry and mope.
You tried, didn’t succeed initially but learned, and are now living your dream life 🙂
