Cold calling tips
Everybody hates cold calling, but it is also a highly effective strategy to generate leads and sales… When done correctly.
For me, the most important thing that has made me successful is managing my tone. When I rush speaking and don’t annunciate clearly, I get hung up on every time. But, when I speak slowly and with authority, people are naturally interested to hear more.
Another thing that works for me is to not take too long to get to my benefit statement. I usually start my phone calls as if to imply that the cold call should already know me.
For example:
“Hi, this is Ivanka? From OnlineIncome?”
It is a pattern interrupt that stops the default behaviour of hanging up on the call, and if I quickly follow up with what I have to offer, the phone call goes well more often than other techniques.
